Portland Walking Tour

The walking tour will begin by leaving the historic hotel of the Embassy Suites and head south for a few blocks to the nearest MAX train. There we will board the MAX train to Washington Park. From the train station (North America's deepest), we will take the elevator to the top and stroll up to the Hoyt Arboretum.

There we will begin a casual paced stroll down Wildwood Trail to the Japanese Gardens (approximately 1 mile).

After touring the Japanese Garden, we will head to the beautiful International Rose Garden for amazing roses and signature vistas to Downtown Portland and the surrounding mountains.

From the Rose Garden, we will continue through Washington Park past the Portland Civic Stadium, to the sustainable, trendy and hip Pearl neighborhood, past the Chinese Classical Gardens, ending back at the Embassy Suites Hotel.

Total route length is approximately 3 miles, with stops at the Japanese Garden (and Classical Chinese Garden if time allows). Transportation, water bottle, and snack provided along with entry to any of the gardens.
